Other than being a tiny bit warm and typically humid, the weather was perfect, the food was amazing and the beach was gorgeous. Many of us had the opportunity to ride bikes on the fine hard white sand in the morning. I even found some pink branch-like coral just lying on the beach! The ocean did have a small drawback, since one of us got stung by a jellyfish while swimming, but little damage was done!

We have been fortunate in southwest Montana, so far. Our main concern this time of year is dry lightning causing forest fires. So, our blue skies and nice temperatures could change in a New York second! My prayers go out to all of you, and your loved ones, who are struggling.

Happy summer to you all. I hope it is an enjoyable season for you! At the same time, I continue to pray for those in areas that have been affected by flooding and fire smoke from our northern neighbors. Summer can be a very high energy time as rest eludes us, giving way to vacations, backyard barbeques, travel, family reunions, anticipation of a young child’s first day of school and escorting an older teen to college dorm life. The future of change is in the air.

But most importantly, I hope you recognized Friday, February 3 as National Women Physician Day. My friend Tiffany, who is an accomplished pediatric allergist, mentioned this to a group of us that morning. This is what I learned.
