The Resolution of the Most Beloved Bride

By Karysse Trandem, DO

"But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like His glorious body" (Philippians 3:20-21, NIV 1984).

Resolved: The state of the country and world does not trouble my heart. I will faithfully pray for our leaders and nations, but know my true citizenship is in heaven.

Resolved: My Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, is coming back for me soon. I daily anticipate His awesome return.

Resolved: Everything out of my control does not worry me. I remember that Jesus has everything under His all-powerful jurisdiction.

Resolved: My body will be transformed to be like Jesus' glorious body. I will be a good steward of the earthly body God has given me and look to Him for transformation.

Dear Lord, we praise you for a brand New Year in our lives. Thank you for everything you have planned for each of us individually this year. Thank you for the blessing of being covered in your all-powerful love and marked as yours by your precious blood. We worship you for giving us so many rich promises, like the verse above, that we can build our lives upon. Help us to resolve in our hearts and souls to worship you by believing and acting upon your Word. We begin this year in the untouchable resolve that comes from being your chosen bride. Let our everyday bring you glory, honor, praise and love. In your matchless name, amen.
